It is placed in the Manyara Region on the northern part of Tanzania. The park’s well famed name came from Tarangire River that cut across the park. Tarangire River is the core source of fresh water for a number of wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem especially during dry season.

The Tarangire wildlife Ecosystem is well-defined by the distance Wildebeest migration. In dry season thousands of wild animals including wildebeest and zebras come together in Tarangire National Park from the wet-season dispersion and calving areas.

It’s a park where you will observe elephants mark the plains like cattle, Lion roar’s and Zebra barks fill the night with amazing African Safari experience.
It also a place where the wildlife adventure will only provide you with half the story. Covering the park’s 2850 sq km, Tarangire great stands of remarkable baobabs should be enough motive to pay a visit. There is richness of sun-blistered termite banks, as well as immense swamps and vast grassy savannah plains.

Splitting the park in two sides is the Tarangire River, its remarkable meandering course and steep riverbanks providing a dry-season pull for so many stirring wildlife encounters.
On rainy season, seasonal visitors spread over a 12,500 sq miles range until they finish the green plains and the river calls again. But Tarangire population of elephant can be encountered without any difficulties, wet or dry season. Tarangire swamps, tinged green year-round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties, most breeding species in one habitat anywhere in the world.
