In addition to its massive flamingo population, Lake Manyara is possibly most famed for the tree climbing lions who call this park a home. Found nowhere else in Tanzania and few places in Africa, these agile predators cut a prominent figure as they lounge lazily in acacia trees.

Also, among other wild animals calling this park a home are Africa’s most iconic animals such as wildebeest, elephants, giraffes, zebra and cape buffalo, as well as less famed but no less fascinating Kirk’s dik-dik and klipspringer.
